- The Impress Puck system will help solve one of the most difficult parts of preparing a good espresso: dosing and tamping the ground coffee. First, you press the coffee manually by pulling the lever on the left-hand side. The tamper will then exert a constant 10 kg pressure on the coffee dose, with a 7° barista twist for a polished roller.

The price of the machine is very reasonable compared to other suppliers and delivery was fast. It's a good quality machine and even my wife (who's not used to making coffees like espresso) finds it easy to use. Of course it takes a while to learn all its functions, but that's part of the pleasure of owning such a coffee machine. The machine produces delicious coffee if you use fresh, good-quality beans. On the machine itself, as stated in many tests and comments, you need time to learn (and a packet of coffee for testing...) to find the right settings. For example, the grind size is not the same according to the coffee and its roast, nor even according to the filter used, the large one allowing a finer grind. I had to switch to "duration" mode to get enough ground coffee in one go, as the automatic mode really doesn't grind enough.
On the other hand, the efficiency of the automatic milk frother is simply amazing, and works every time.
All in all, once I've found the right settings, I'm able to extract a coffee quality never before achieved, with a very attractive machine that's pleasant to look at and handle.
